ST. LOUIS — St. Louis firefighters rescued a man and a pregnant woman from the second story of a burning two-family flat early Tuesday, officials said.
Around 3:40 a.m., an electrical problem sparked a fire at the residence in the 1400 block of North Market Street, near North Florissant Avenue. The man and woman were preparing to jump when firefighters arrived and rescued them with their ladders, according to department spokesman Steve Simpson.
No one was injured.
