BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — A skydiver was stranded perched on a voltage regulator for nearly an hour Saturday when his scheduled jump at the Winter Carnival went awry and he nearly hit a 7,200 volt power line.
Cameron King, a skydiver from the company Jumptown in Orange, Mass., made it to the ground safely after CVPS turned off the power and the Brattleboro Fire Department used one of its ladder trucks to walk him down.
According to Brattleboro Police, the skydiver was blown off course by a strong gust of wind.
