HARMONY TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Firefighters in Harmony Township rescued a hang glider who crashed into the top of a tree today along Montana Mountain Road.
The unidentified hang glider wasn’t hurt, but he had to be freed by firefighters with a ladder truck and saws, said Fire Chief Wesley Garrison. He was stuck about 40 feet from the ground, Garrison said. He crashed about 4:50 p.m. in the 400 block of Montana Mountain Road.
“He was uninjured,” Garrison said. “He came down the ladder with help from our guys. He just wanted to get out of the tree.”
