LEXINGTON, Ky. — A few fixtures of history were stolen from one of Lexington’s oldest firehouses Thursday morning.
The iconic red globe light fixtures date back to the 19th century. “They let [people] know the firemen are in quarters,” says Lexington Fire’s Lt. Nathan Vanderhoof.
Firefighters at Station 6 say they first noticed the globes missing when they returned from a medical call around 1 a.m. Thursday.
