He took a bottle of alcohol, a bottle of a non-alcoholic beverage and a bottle of seasoning from one of the cars

CLOVIS, N.M. — A fire lieutenant is facing changes after authorities say he stole items from an accident scene.

KRQE reported that Lt. Christopher Elam, 32, with the Clovis (N.M.) Fire Department, was one of the first responders to a vehicle crash on May 1. Deputies say while crews were working to extricate the victims, Elam took a bottle of alcohol, a bottle of a non-alcoholic beverage, and a bottle of seasoning from one of the cars, according to the report.
