OKLAHOMA CITY — Security footage shows a firefighter’s trailer being stolen Aug. 31 while he was on-duty.
Adam Leonard’s entire trailer, which contained family heirlooms and items that the firefighter said had special meaning, was stolen.
“We had somebody that came pretty boldly and up right to my driveway in the middle of the day and hooked up my trailer and just drove off with it,” Leonard told koco.com.
Leonard was at work when the theft occurred.
“Neighbors eating dinner saw the car pull in the driveway, didn’t think much about it,” Leonard told News 9. “They felt horrible after the fact.”
Video footage depicts a black SUV initially slowly driving by Leonard’s home. About an hour later, the suspect returns and waits in a neighbor’s driveway. The suspect then backs into Leonard’s driveway, hooks up the trailer, and drives away.
“I’ve had this trailer for about 15 years. My dad and I bought this trailer when we used to be partners together. And now we don’t have that either,” Leonard said.
