Woman arrested for stealing Mass. firefighter’s wallet

She will face charges of larceny, identity fraud, credit card fraud and attempt to commit a crime

REVERE, Mass. — A woman will be arraigned in court in connection to the theft of a firefighter’s wallet that was stolen while he was out battling a fire last week.

WCVB reported that Aleesha Mceachern will be arraigned on Aug. 4 where she will face charges of larceny, identity fraud, credit card fraud and attempt to commit a crime.

Police said as a result of numerous tips from the public, the department was able to conduct an investigation and get a complaint against Mceachern, according to the report.

Video from inside the firehouse shows the suspect walking through with two kids. Mceachern is also accused of going on a shopping spree racking up $400 worth of charges on the firefighter’s credit card, according to the report.

She’s currently being held at the Suffolk County House of Corrections on an unrelated matter.
