DENVER — Applications are now open for the third annual TSI First Responder Innovation Award, which spotlights how first responder agencies have used technology to solve a real problem in their own operations.

Six agencies will be selected to present at the Technology Summit International, hosted by the International Association of Fire Chiefs in Denver, Dec. 7-9. Each will get eight minutes on the main stage to explain what they built and what changed as a result.

Applicants, which must be active first responder agencies, are asked to detail how the technology improved safety, saved time or increased efficiency for the department or community, and share measurable results from using it in operations.

Submissions close Nov. 4, 2026. Apply for the First Responder Innovation Award, sponsored by IDEX Corporation.

Technology Summit International is an IAFC event focused on putting emerging technology in the hands of fire and emergency service professionals so they can reduce risk to their communities and improve emergency response. The 2026 summit runs Dec. 7-9 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Learn more and register at iafc.org/tsi.
