OAKALLA, Texas — Two Oakalla volunteer firefighters sustained serious injuries in an apparatus accident on Saturday.
The Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department shared in a Facebook post that one of the department’s fire trucks was involved in an apparatus accident while responding to a call. One of the firefighters was hospitalized overnight and released from the hospital on Sunday, while the other firefighter remains in critical but stable condition at an Austin hospital.
The fire department has not released names of the firefighters involved in the accident, but asked the community in a statement for their continued thoughts and prayers.
