2 W.Va. volunteer fire departments damaged, robbed

Officials say the suspects stole vital equipment and caused significant damage

RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. — Two W.Va. county volunteer fire departments were broken into over the weekend.

Raleigh County fire Levy Coordinator Kevin Price said suspects caused significant damage to the firehouses and stole “vital equipment,” according to WVNSTV.

The Coal River and Clear Creek Volunteer Fire Departments were the ones burglarized.

The investigation is ongoing.
