TAR HEEL, N.C. — A North Carolina firefighter died Thursday while responding to a brush fire.
Tar Heel Rural Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter David Hunsinger, Jr., 24, was operating his personal vehicle when he was involved in a collision and suffered fatal injuries.
Firefighter Hunsinger had spent more than seven years in the fire service.
