BIG BAR, Calif. — A group of firefighters from American Samoa can be seen in a video singing a Samoan hymn while they help with the California wildfires.
According to the Facebook post of the video, the team is a hand crew, whose job is to “protect natural resources by using hand tools on the outrigs of a designated area to prevent fire from scorching further.”
In the video, the crew can be seen marching down the Shasta-Trinity Forest and singing an a capella version of “Fa’afetai I le Autua,” which means thanks unto God, according to Hawaii News Now.
