SYDNEY, Australia — More than 200 additional seasonal firefighters will be recruited by the Department of Sustainability and Environment to support firefighting efforts across Victoria.
Acting chief officer fire and emergency management Tony Edgar said the new seasonal firefighters were part of $8 million in funding recently announced for additional firefighting resources.
