CHICAGO — Two firefighters were injured while battling a fire early Monday morning in the West Town neighborhood.

The fire started around 2:41 a.m. in a one-story commercial building in the 2200 block of West Grand Avenue, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle said.

One firefighter fell down while battling the fire and was taken to Rush University Medical Center where he was treated and released, Lyle said.

The second firefighter had unknown injuries and was taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, Lyle said. The firefighter was listed in good condition, he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
