SCARBOROUGH, Maine —Firefighters delivered a baby in an ambulance that was minutes away from the hospital.
WGME reported that four Scarborough firefighters responded in an ambulance to a call about a woman in labor.
The baby came sooner than expected and the firefighters delivered the infant in the ambulance.
After the experience, the firefighters said they followed first responder tradition and placed a stork decal on the ambulance.
The crew said the experience could not have come at a better time, and it is one they’ll never forget.
Congratulations to the Saxby's!
