Md. FFs injured when ambulance struck by tractor-trailer

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Two Prince George’s County firefighters were injured when their ambulance was struck while on the scene of an earlier accident on June 15.

Prince George’s County Fire & EMS posted on Facebook that a tractor-trailer had struck the ambulance and other stopped vehicles on the inner loop of the beltway in Oxon Hill, WJLA reported.

The two firefighters were inside the ambulance at the time. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital.

The cause of the crash involving the tractor-trailer is under investigation.
