BLUFF CITY, Tenn. — A fire department rescued a dog who was trapped underground.

WJHL reported that Bluff City Volunteer Fire Department firefighters worked to free a dog that became trapped underneath some large rocks after going down into a hole, according to a Facebook post.

“We used a pry bar and sledge hammer to move a large rock enough for the owner to get him out,” the department’s Facebook post read.

After the dog was freed, the crew treated him with an oxygen mask and gave him some water, and the Facebook post said that “other than being a little scared, he appeared OK.”
