PHOENIX — Fallen firefighter, Brad Harper, was a newlywed, married less than 6 months.
FOX 10 talked with a group of his friends who have known Brad Harper since kindergarten. They said he was funny, often laughed off injuries and told it like it was. They said Sunday that it was like losing a brother. Now their focus turns to their other friend, the young wife he leaves behind.
“I was there watching my best friend die,” said Jake Fenton. Fenton was at St. Joseph’s hospital throughout the night as his friend, brad harper fought for his life. Friends hoped he’d pull through. “Brad’s a fighter...the mindset he always has, I didn’t want to think anything different,” said Josh Estes. The 23-year-old Phoenix firefighter was gravely injured, when he was pinned between two vehicles at a fire Friday evening.
