NEW YORK — A raging blaze nearly wiped out an entire block in Brooklyn early Sunday, gutting six stores, officials said.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries in the inferno, which started around 1 a.m. in a Chinese restaurant in the 1900 block of Flatlands Avenue in Marine Park and spread down the street, authorities said.
Only one store — a small food market — was left standing, officials said.
It took 140 firefighters to get the blaze under control by 4:30 a.m., said authorities, who are investigating the fire.
