DUBUQUE, Iowa — A Dubuque firefighter repsponding to a medical emergency Saturday night was cited for an improper turn after causing about $650 in damages to a city light and a sewer cover, said the Dubuque Police Department.
A fire engine driven by Michael E. Lynch, 37, of 2300 Springreen Dr., was traveling west on W. 11th Street around 9 p.m. when it turned north on Main Street and struck a light pole. One of the rear tires, resting on the sidewalk, also caused a sewer cover to break from stress.
All damages and citations will be assessed to the city.
