KELOWNA, Canada — The guys at the West Kelowna Fire Rescue halls would really appreciate it if there were no calls Thursday evening.
It’s not that they’re trying to avoid work. It’s just that they’ll be glued to their television sets, waiting to see where their most famous colleague goes in the National Football League draft.
That would be Danny Watkins, the ex-firefighter who played his first game of football four years ago and is projected to be a late first-round or early second-round pick at the world’s biggest football meat market.
