ROTHSVILLE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania volunteer firefighter died after going into cardiac arrest while at the scene of a vehicle accident on Thursday.
Fire Police Officer Edward Steffy, 71, was directing traffic at the scene in Rothsville when he started to feel sick and went to sit in his truck.
Minutes later, he went into cardiac arrest and died at the scene.
Fire Police Officer Steffy had more than 30 years of service with the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company.
