WHITE COUNTY, Ark. — Police arrested two people for breaking into two fire stations and stealing thousands of dollars worth of equipment earlier this month.
Officials said John Rayburn, 26, and Cynthia Ashmore, 27, broke into a North White County Fire Department station and stole around $2,200 worth of gear Jan. 8. Three days later, the couple stole around $10,000 worth of equipment from a Gum Springs Fire Department station.
The two are expected to be charged with commercial burglary and theft of property, reported KAIT8.
After the two were arrested, authorities were able to recover most of the fire departments’ stolen equipment.
