HOLLY, Mich. — The next full moon is two weeks away, but that didn’t stop a 50-year-old Rose Township man from putting on a wolf mask and howling at firefighters, then at a school bus stop, according to authorities.
The incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. Monday, when a man driving a black pickup pulled up to a Holly fire station, put on the mask and started howling, Holly Police Chief Michael Story told Fox 2 Detroit.
The man then drove to a bus stop at Saginaw and Church streets, put on the mask and started howling again -- this time at students waiting for their ride. The children ran off and reported the man, who was arrested after Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies located him at a gas station, according to the Tri-County Times.
The case is under investigation.
According to the Times, Holly Area Schools Superintendent Scott Roper sent a letter home to parents the next day, explaining what happened and noting that bus stops would be receiving extra monitoring.
