CANNELTON, Ind. — Charges against a fire chief who was arrested for assaulting a police officer were dropped this week.

Cannelton Fire Chief Christopher Herzog was arrested in December 2016 for allegedly pushing an officer at the scene of a fire, reported TristateHomepage.com. He was arrested for battery of an officer.
