Arson spree: Another suspicious fire on Va. Eastern Shore

Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the arsonist

OAK HALL, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating another suspicious fire on the Eastern Shore.

State police tell media outlets that the latest fire occurred Monday night in an abandoned building in Oak Hall.

The cause hasn’t been determined but preliminary reports indicate the fire was deliberately set.

More than 60 fires have been reported in Accomack County since last November.

No one has been injured. Many of the structures were abandoned.

State police are working overtime to try to catch whoever is responsible, regularly patrolling the county’s roads and skies and conducting checkpoints.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
