SAN FRANCISCO — A bicyclist was named a suspect in a fire that burned down a complex for the second time.

SFGate reported that the suspect was shown in four surveillance photos and appeared to be dressed in a hooded sweatshirt as he rode his bike in the middle of the night near the $35 million residential and business development location.

The man wore a backpack and snuck past two armed guards and 12 surveillance cameras. Security was heightened after the first fire, but project developer Rick Holliday said the precautions “clearly didn’t work.”

A $100,000 reward from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was offered for the arrest of the person responsible for both fires.

“These fires resulted in extensive damages and could have resulted in loss of life,” special agent Jill Snyder said.

The previous fire, which occurred last July, happened at almost the exact same stage in construction.
