LOGANSPORT, Ind. — A firefighter was assaulted while on scene of a house fire Monday.
WISHTV.com reported that four people escaped unharmed from the house; two firefighters were injured. One firefighter fell through the roof and the other received injuries to his eye after being assaulted by a woman living in the home.
“One of the firefighters grabbed a hold of her, tried to get her out the door and she turned around and battered the officer,” police Lt. A.J. Rozzi said.
Firefighters also uncovered a marijuana growing operation inside the home. Police removed 15 plants and 22 seedlings.
The homeowners are facing several drug charges.
