Phoenix fire captain killed in ATV crash
Over $50,000 of a $75,000 goal has been raised in Captain Chris Fitzmaurice’s name.

PHOENIX — A Phoenix fire captain died the day after Thanksgiving in an ATV crash.
Captain Chris Fitzmaurice, 45, was a 20-year veteran of the department. His death was reported by the Phoenix firefighters union via Facebook.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic loss of one of our members. Words simply fail us at this moment to express the magnitude of our loss,” the post read.
He leaves behind his wife and four daughters. A GoFundMe account has been created in Capt. Fitzmaurice’s name. Over $50,000 of a $75,000 goal has been raised.
