NOVATO, Calif. — Novato fire Chief Marc Revere has been honored with the fire chief of the year award from the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
Revere, who has been in the fire service for 35 years, got the award for his emphasis on leadership, innovation and professional development, as well as his integrity, service to the public and contributions to the fire service as a whole, according to the Novato Fire District.
Revere received his chief fire officer designation in 2003, is a certified fire officer through the California State Fire Marshal’s Office, and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy executive fire officer program.
The award was presented Aug. 2 at the center’s annual awards ceremony held in Denver.
