Volunteers cleaned the station, brought in an exterminator and treated the area with high temperatures to get rid of the bed bugs
The bedbugs reappeared at a Jamestown EMS station despite several treatments to remove them
Fire Chief Dave Cravens said he closed the station on Monday to allow exterminators to work to remove the bedbugs and to kill any infestation within the walls
The infestation was found after a firefighter went to the hospital to be treated for a rash
A pest-sniffing dog determined the infiltration was limited to one area of one room
Firefighters moved from the affected stations because bedbugs were hard to eradicate
Crews said their move to temporary housing has not affected their ability to respond to calls
Officials were notified of a potential infestation when a firefighter discovered bites on his wrist
