CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. –– A firefighter was transported to the hospital for burns after battling a house fire that had spread to a neighboring house.
A Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighter was transported to the hospital, NBC Bay Area reported.
Officials with CCCFPD said there were “significant collapses” in both houses. A third house was threatened by the fire, but firefighters were able to keep it from spreading.
The firefighter was treated at a local hospital and released.
Fire knocked down on both Lorenzo Dr. structures this afternoon. Significant collapses involved in both houses delaying searches & overhaul/mopup.
