AUGUSTA, Ga. — A firefighter who was badly burned in a house fire recently underwent his sixth surgery.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that LaGrange Fire Department firefighter Josh Williams, who received burns on more than 35 percent of his body in a Labor Day house blaze, received a permanent skin replacement through a cultured epidermal autograft surgery.

Williams will recover at a burn center for the next couple of weeks.

Firefighters Jonathan Williamson, Pete Trujillo and Jordan Avera also suffered burns in the blaze when they, along with Williams, became trapped inside of the burning house. They are out of the hospital and recovering at home.
