TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A fire department rescued a boy who decided to take matters into his own hands to win a toy by crawling into the machine.

The Washington Post reported that the Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department extricated a boy from an arcade claw machine and shared the story on Facebook.

“Oftentimes, we say to ourselves that you never know what the next shift will bring,” the Facebook post said. “That’s what draws people to public safety, the unexpected. Well today was no exception. This evening, little Mason was enjoying some food and decided he wanted a stuffed animal. He wanted it so bad, he climbed into the game to get that toy!”

The Facebook post went on to say the boy was never in distress because an off-duty firefighter who happened to be there assessed the situation.

“I hope he got his toy,” a Facebook commenter said.
