BATON ROUGE, La. — A firefighter escaped injury after a tornado picked up his truck while he was in it last Friday.
Newson6.com reported that the incident was caught on surveillance video at a gas station. In the video, you can see a white pickup truck sitting in a parking lot suddenly go flying into the air.
“It picked up my truck like it was a toy and threw it,” Baton Rouge firefighter Dustin Spiess said. “The back of my truck lifted up and I was looking straight at the ground through my windshield.”
Spiess’ truck landed fender first on the pavement. He walked away with only cuts and bruises.
