ARLINGTON, Ind. — A firefighter suffered serious spinal injuries while battling a house fire last Wednesday.

Posey volunteer firefighter Curtis Taylor, 23, was on the first floor of the home when he was injured. He suffered a spinal cord shock and had no feeling or movement in his legs, reported WBIW.

Taylor was transported to the hospital for his injuries. Assistant Fire Chief Deirdre Miller said Taylor is now walking and on his way to full recovery.
