MILLERSVILLE, Md. — A county 911 operator helped a father deliver a baby by phone in Glen Burnie Thursday morning.
The call was received shortly after 10 a.m. The 911 operator provided instructions to the father who delivered the baby boy at 10:14 a.m., county fire department spokesman Lt. Cliff Kooser said.
When fire and medical personnel arrived at the home in the 7200 block of Stallings Drive, in the Tanyard Cove community, the father was tying off the child’s umbilical cord.
The child and the mother were taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where they were in good condition, officials said.
