‘Vegas Strong’ scholarships offer help for aspiring first responders
The Public Education Foundation teamed up with Macy’s to fund $50,000 in scholarships for three students seeking first responder careers

LAS VEGAS — A new scholarship fund has been created in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting for students who wish to become first responders.
Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the “Vegas Strong” scholarship was created by the Public Education Foundation and a $50,000 donation from Macy’s will be offered to three students seeking first responder careers, as well as two dependents of first responders.
The students will receive $2,500 and can renew the scholarship as they complete their two- or four-year degree.
The application deadline for the scholarship is Feb. 20. Click here to apply.
