FLOWER MOUND, Texas — Friday’s extreme heat made it tough for firefighters who battled a four-alarm house fire in Flower Mound.
One firefighter was sent to a local hospital with apparent dehydration on what MedStar EMS said was the worst day so far this summer for heat emergencies.
The fire in the 3000 block of High Point Drive was reported at about noon. “The second floor and attic areas were well involved to the point that the roof was even starting to collapse.” Fire Chief Eric Metzger said.
