Report writing and documentation are a fact of life for firefighters. Like it or not, our punctuation is judged every day by peers, community members, EMS colleagues, attorneys and supervisors.
Sept. 24 is National Punctuation Day, a celebration of the period, comma, semicolon, question mark, exclamation point and the other marks that give meaning to our words and cut down on confusion.
To mark the day, take our quick punctuation challenge and see how sharp your skills are. When you’re done, try other Puzzles & Games, including Sudoku, crossword and Jumble or dive deep into police report writing.
