YORK, Pa. — Officials released the cause of death for one of two firefighters who were killed when a building collapsed.

According to a tweet from the York County Coroner, firefighter Zachary Anthony died on March 22 of blunt force trauma with traumatic asphyxia, and the death was determined accidental.

Anthony and firefighter Ivan Flanscha were looking for hot spots after a major blaze at the Weaver Piano & Organ building when they both became trapped.

“All of Pennsylvania mourns their loss,” Governor Tom Wolf said at a memorial service for the firefighters. “To those who serve in these dangerous and needed roles, this is much more than a job. This is a calling. It is truly a calling.”
