Over the past 12 months, fire professionals across the country have grappled with an unprecedented number of crises simultaneously. From wildfires that raged for months, to a global pandemic seemingly without an end and pockets of civil unrest that required a new strategy in the modern era, fire departments were inundated with calls to serve their communities.

These challenges were met with bravery, courage and steely resolve at every turn. As we reflect on this year, we remember those who did not make it home at the end of their shift.

To the family, friends and colleagues of the fallen, we are heartbroken with you.

This video is dedicated to these dedicated fire professionals.
