Worcester Firefighter Jon Davies Sr. remembered on 10-year anniversary of death
Two of Davies' sons now serve as firefighters in the city

WORCESTER, Mass. — Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of the death of Worcester Firefighter Jon Davies Sr.
The 17-year veteran of the department died on Dec. 8, 2011 while battling a three-decker fire on Arlington Street. He was 43.
The Worcester Fire Department and the city of Worcester shared tweets Wednesday honoring the fallen firefighter.

Firefighter Brian Carroll, who was Davies’ partner on Rescue 1, was also injured in the blaze as the two men went back into the building to search for people possibly trapped inside.
Two of Davies’ sons, Jon D. Davies Jr. and Michael Davies, now serve as firefighters in the city.
