GRANVILLE COUNTY, N.C. — Three family members were killed early Saturday in a crash near the Durham County line, multiple news outlets report.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. along Interstate 85 in Granville County.

According to a report by WSOC-TV, a Toyota Highlander was traveling north when it struck a Providence Fire Department truck blocking an earlier crash. The impact from the crash pushed it into a nearby pickup truck.
Four family members from Charlotte were inside the SUV.
The victims were identified as Jason Nye, 31, Christina Nye, 32, and their 6-year-old daughter. They were pronounced dead at the scene, the report said. Their 10-year-old son is seriously injured and being treated at Duke University Hospital.
The fire truck and pickup truck were unoccupied.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
