CHICAGO — Two firefighters were injured while responding to a townhouse fire in Chinatown Monday morning, officials said.
Crews arrived in the 200 block of West 25th Place at about 10:30 a.m. One firefighter was transported to a hospital and was reported stable. The other was in fair to serious condition, officials said.
A mother and her child were in the building when the fire started. They both made it out safely. A Chicago Fire Department spokesman called the building a total loss.
