EL PASO, Texas — Seventeen fire units responded to a house fire in the 5100 block of Orleans in Northeast El Paso about 4:30 a.m. today, El Paso Fire Department Battalion Chief Sam Pena said.
Two men, ages 62 and 50, and a 46-year-old woman evacuated the house before firefighters arrived, Pena said. The two men went to Las Palmas hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation, he said.
The fire was under control about 6:05 a.m., Pena said. Investigators estimate damage to the home at $200,000 and estimate damage to a home next door at $20,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Pena said.
