HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Three firefighters were reportedly injured this morning while battling a blaze in Hamilton Township.
Franklin Fire Company responded about 2:45 a.m. to the home of Richard L. Crider at 1449 Frank Road, according to a statement issued by Assistant Deputy Fire Marshal Trooper Franklin M. Hershey.
The three firefighters, who were not named, were taken to Chambersburg Hospital, Hershey said. One was treated and released, while the other two were taken to other medical facilities for treatment. The statement did not indicate the nature of the firefighters’ injuries.
Hershey said the fire apparently originated in a bedroom on the west side of the home. The investigation is still ongoing, but no foul play is suspected at this time.
