WALDORF, Md. — Fire officials say three firefighters were injured while battling a blaze at a house fire Monday morning.
The Associated Press reported that crews were called to the vacant home after people driving by saw it engulfed in flames.
Waldorf Volunteer Fire Chief J.R. Hayden said two firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One had burns and the other had contusions to his leg, but both are now recovering at home, according to the report. The third firefighter was treated at the scene for minor burns, according to the report.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
