CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Investigators said they are looking into five fires that were intentionally set in the same area of Charlotte.
Fire department spokesman Rob Brisley said the fires started about 4 a.m. Sunday and were set throughout the morning.
Brisley said the worst fire was at a tire store. Firefighters worked for about 30 minutes to put out the fire, which caused about $30,000 in damage.
Officials said two other fires were set inside a Dumpster behind Waddell High School. Investigators are looking at surveillance video from the school and nearby businesses.
