HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The grandfather of a 5-year-old boy who died in a house fire Monday morning suffered cuts and burns when he attempted to re-enter the burning home to rescue his grandson.
The child, Charlie Campa, died when the home he was inside caught fire shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, May 4, officials with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said.
Fire officials are currently investigating the blaze. A cause hasn’t yet been identified.
